Startup Sound – Brand Identity System for Tech Podcast
A gradient-driven identity system that gives a founder-focused podcast a credible, scalable presence.

OVERVIEW
Startup Sound, a podcast covering startup growth and founder journeys, needed a brand identity that would feel innovative and credible to an entrepreneurial audience. The project built a full system spanning logo, icon, color, and platform-ready promotional assets.
THE CHALLENGE
The brand needed a strong, recognizable icon paired with a modern gradient-based visual language capable of holding up across a wide range of platforms, from podcast directories to social banners. Establishing an authority-driven presence for a young show meant every asset had to feel deliberate and consistent from the outset.
RESEARCH & STRATEGY
Drawing on conventions common to tech podcast branding, dark backgrounds, bold sans-serif type, and gradient or neon highlights, the direction settled on a clean microphone icon integrated with dynamic waveform elements to signal voice, audio, and momentum. A purple-to-blue gradient palette was chosen deliberately to signal innovation and trust.
ART DIRECTION
The logo system includes a primary wordmark-and-icon lockup, a standalone circular app icon, and a scalable favicon version, unified by a palette of deep indigo, electric purple, bright cyan, and soft blue. Strong typographic hierarchy keeps the brand feeling modern, confident, and unmistakably tech-native across every touchpoint.
EXECUTION
Application mockups were produced across podcast cover art, streaming platform artwork, social banners, the app icon, a YouTube banner, and mobile preview contexts, giving the show a consistent, launch-ready presence across every channel it needed on day one.
OUTCOME
The finished identity positions the podcast as a credible startup authority, giving it a scalable, cross-platform brand system built to grow alongside its audience.
